Melon Banana Matcha Smoothie Bowl

Side note: I sometimes get asked if you can substitute almond milk for cashew milk or coconut milk or hazelnut milk. I would say yes, for the first three but hazelnut milk I find goes better with chocolatey caramel carob mixes, personally. 
But you don’t even have to use a nut milk if you don’t want to. This morning I tested this recipe with water and it turned out just as yum.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups frozen melon (orange melon)
  • 1 frozen banana 
  • 2 mejdool dates or 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/4 cup of water or 1/4 cup almond milk or cashew milk 
  • 1 tbsp matcha 
  • 1/2 tsp spirulina 

Blend and done!!! Toppings (left to right)

 

  • Almond butter (my all time fav that goes so well with melon and matcha! And everything really haha I can eat it with a spoon)
  • Chia seeds 
  • Dried white and black mulberries
  • Goji berries 
  • Nectarine
