Chocolate Beetroot Shake
I am quite excited to share this new recipe, as it's my first time trying this combination.
I understand a lot of people may not be a fan of our friend, the beetroot, however the coupling of beetroot and chocolate I must say is wonderful, and suited for anyone reluctant to incorporate beetroot into their diets.
Beetroot offers a multitude of health benefits & vitamins, from being a good source of iron, folate, & magnesium, to helping improve exercise performance, lower blood pressure, and prevent dementia.

Blend Time: 5mins
Serves 1-2 persons
Here are the ingredients you'll need for this bad boy.
- 1 Beetroot (raw or cooked - I used raw)
- 1 cup Almond Milk
- 1 Banana
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2 tbsp Raw Cacao
- 1 tsp Agave (optional)
- Place all ingredients into your blender and mix until smooth (it may remain a little grainy if you use raw beetroot, but it's actually nice, it gives it some more chew)
- Add toppings and savour away!
This recipe can be enjoyed as a smoothie bowl or a shake. You decide!
