Bircher Muesli, The Breakfast of Champions

Why should you be having this Bircher bowl from heaven first thing in the morning? Well,

1️⃣ It is rich in fiber which promotes a healthy digestive system and can help ward off certain types of cancers

5️⃣ it’s just the right amount of sweetness, and can be enjoyed by those suffering from diabetes

Ingredients 

  • ½ cup gluten-free oats
  • ½ Almond milk
  • 1 tsp Raisins
  • 1 tsp Chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup (or maple syrup)
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp goji berries (topping)
  • 1/8 red apple (topping)
  • Sprinkle cinnamon (topping)
  • 1 tsp pumpkin seeds (topping)

Method

  1. The night prior to the tasting, place the oats, almond milk, raisins, chia seeds,  cinnamon, and agave syrup in a bowl, mix and let it sit overnight in the fridge in an airtight container. 
  2. The next morning, if needed to adjust the consistency you can add a touch of almond milk if it is too think. Then, top it off with the red apples cut in julienne, goji berries, pumpkin seeds, and sprinkle the apples with some cinnamon. 
  3. (Optional) add chopped grilled hazelnuts or toasted almonds, and lin seeds too
