Spirulina is a blue-green algae, a freshwater plant, that is one of the most renowned superfoods. Some of the proven health benefits of spirulina include:

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 mashed banana 
  • 1 cup almond milk 
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp spirulina 
  • 1 tbsp agave (optional)

Toppings

  • Raspberries
  • Banana 
  • Almond butter
  • Flaked almonds 
  • Dried black mulberries 

Method

  • Place all ingredients overnight in an airtight jar 
  • In the morning, pour into a bowl, add toppings
